We had something of a social day today, preparation for our reintegration into society back home tomorrow. First M came over the hill to meet us for coffee at the French Bakery followed not long after by K & D for lunch. So, a nice change of pace today and good to catch up with friends. I also indulged in a little retail therapy. Sadly the Lolly Jar was closed. To finish the day off, once all visitors had set off back home, L and I went for a walk along the rail trail. It is the most beautiful walk, although we left it too late in the day to get all the way to the station. As it was, it was dark by the time we were back at the camper van.
There’s a bit of a tree theme with today’s photos, although there’s also a photo of the cottage, now part of the museum, which was our home back in 1970. When we lived there it was beside the church, and neither it nor us were museum pieces.
