Well. It’s nearly nine months since I posted anything. So long that I’ve almost forgotten how to do it. But here we are, finally back into writing. There’s been no particular reason for the absence other than lack of motivation. Even my garden blog has suffered, though I’ve managed a few more posts on that.
We do, however, have news. We are moving from our Wellington home of the past decade to a place in the Wairarapa. What a business. All that unnatural tidiness during open homes, all the decluttering and cleaning. Place is looking so good I’m wondering why we are shifting.
But, new adventures call. Yes there is more I could do to the garden. In fact, if we were staying, I’d be mighty tempted to make wholesale changes. It’s not that I’m dissatisfied with the results to date, but after the big changes are made, there’s only a certain amount of tweaking that can be done. It’s more a matter of patience to let the garden grow — but patience in the garden isn’t my forte.
Once we’re settled in, we hope to get in a bit of travelling. First up a train trip to Auckland — I’ll keep you posted. By the way, don’t forget to check out L’s book The Zephyr and Me, about our travels by train across Canada and the USA.
