27 August 2026, evening
No not between J and I. More internal than that. Still, first things first. We arrived at our destination yesterday soon after 3.47. Well, actually, (if there is a space here and no word appears, blame J. She is actually not a fan of actually. She also doesn’t like exclamation marks either, so must slip in a couple along the way). But anyway, back to actually. Actually, it was closer to 5, but it was on the day I predicted!
Now, the argument. Did I use the right knob yesterday? I think I did because knob refers to a premonitory and nob is a rather vulgar term for someone of little talent. And unsavory predilections.
Maybe I need to ask J (of Melbourne). She lives close by to Wilson’s Premonitory which is the most Southerly piece of mainland Oz. I sailed past it on Tenacious a few years back. The story of that trip is on the website available to all. We didn’t go anywhere near it on the Zephyr though. The Zephyr being a North American train complete with bunks, dining cars and whistle stops and doesn’t float. Just so you know Canadian trains are full of welcome, US trains are full of menace. We also didn’t go anywhere near it on Tulip. You can read about that stuff on the website.
My correct use of knob means I don’t need to feel a right nob. Whew!
Well, here we are in Christchurch! Sitting inside comfy and warm as the weather rages in the outdoors! The Back in yesterday’s title refers to going home. That’s a wee way off. Right now, I am off to bed.
By the way, the photo at the top is one of J’s through-the-car-window, at speed, phone snaps. Pretty good, huh?
